AP uses two step authentication: change your AP account now!

Attention: MFA is obligatory for all students and employees

Currently, AP is working hard on a digital transformation. As a result, students and employees can show the best of themselves from any location and with whatever device (laptop, tablet, smartphone …). At the same time, AP faces the challenge of protecting its digital networks and users even better.

That’s why, in collaboration with Microsoft, we are adding an extra layer of security to your AP account and this for our entire university of applied sciences. We do this by introducing two-step verification – also, multifactor authentication, or MFA in ICT terminology. After all, it’s safer if you have to confirm your identity in several ways when logging in. MFA works easily using a free app on your smartphone.

How?

Register MFA for your account at http://aka.ms/mfasetup
When doing this, keep your mobile phone to hand. Check out the manual on this website.

MFA is mandatory for all AP accounts.

Registered! What’s next?

Each time when you use an application or device for the first time since the activation, you have to confirm your identity using the free “Microsoft Authenticator” app on your mobile phone or using the free text code (SMS). Your status will remain active for 60 days.

Do you have any questions, comments or need for technical support as a consequence of this matter, don’t hesitate to contact the ICT ServiceDesk of your campus. They will make sure to assist you properly.

Thank you for making this a success story together!
